My name is Dr. Kathleen Kimball.

I'm an emergency & urgent care veterinarian,
a proud North Haven resident,
a veterinary student educator,
a testament to the power of a strong public education,
and a devoted member of a multiracial, immigrant family.

In my daily work, I rarely meet folks on their best day;
but my community can always trust me to be courageous, focused, and competent.

That's exactly the energy
I'm bringing to
Connecticut's 87th District.

North Haveners deserve
a representative who fights for
robust, fully-funded public schools, accessible & affordable healthcare, greater supports for families & seniors,
and the kind of transparency
that reminds every elected official
who they actually work for (you!)

For sixteen years, District 87 has had the same Republican representative.
In that time, our public schools have had to fight too hard for funding, our fire department was excluded from valuable and necessary state grants,
and North Haven families remained isolated without a real, compelling advocate in Hartford.

I am not a career politician.

I am a pressure-tested doctor trained to make compassionate, level-headed decisions,
a mentor for the next generation of community caregivers, and
a concerned neighbor who believes the only wrong thing to do during an emergency is nothing.

I'm asking for the honor of representing you.

These are my core priorities:
public health, by expanding HUSKY Health toward universal coverage,
and protecting dignity through training unarmed mental health crisis responders;
accessibility, by making civic life and physical spaces genuinely inclusive for everyone;
public education, by restoring full public school funding, supporting comprehensive special education, and safeguarding students’ instruction in the humanities;
and affordability, through progressive tax law to provide relief for working families, updating zoning reform to support small business, and introducing state-subsidized childcare.

Together, let’s make North Haven
a place everyone can thrive.
